Special access permission:

In order to display the battery meter on top of other apps, it's necessary to grant Battery Meter Overlay the special access permission "Draw over other apps" during the initial setup.

Restrictions for Android Oreo (8.0) users:

Due to security improvements in Android OS, it is not possible to show Battery Meter Overlay on top of the status bar. Therefore, the battery meter is always displayed below the status bar.
